When I got home yesterday, there was NOTHING to eat in the house, but my dad wanted cookies ... and well ... I got creative. We didn't have half of the ingredients, but I made up some dry milk and homemade brown sugar and voila! Cookie mania!
The end result --
Hands down, best cookies I have ever made! I just wish that my brothers and sisters savored things so I could have pigged out on these babies after school today. Home making skills developing? I'd have to say yes!

Hi Laney!!! How the heck did you make your own brown sugar, dearest???? Just wondering. Love your blog, but love you more. :) Aunt L
ReplyDeleteHey lovely Aunt Laurenda! :) Brown sugar is actually really easy to make if you have molasses. You put in 2 tablespoons of molasses into every 1 cup of sugar and it makes about a cup of brown sugar. I've made it twice and I think I actually like it better than homemade brown sugar. I love you so much!
