upward reach

This week has been AWESOME! Not one melt down ... not one day where I was extremely stressed out. Today being a half day just made it that much better. I guess this change of weather is making me slightly optimistic. Things will always look up ... right?

On Wednesday, I reached a milestone in my life. I sewed my first real thing. Did it look great? Ehhhh, not really. The lines were wavy and I was a little embarrassed about it at first, but now I know it's a great learning experience. No one ever started out perfect in anything ... except Mozart -- but that's a different story.

I was reading a talk in the Ensign during rehearsal last night and it talked about slowing down when we get stressed out. Heaven knows that I have been feeling a little on edge for the past semester, and I think it's because I have been over complicating my life. I made a little list of things I am going to eliminate in my life to help me to be less stressed. I am probably going to drop some of my extra after school junk and attempt not to go on FB all the time. Hey, it's a start right?

I feel ... I know -- this next week is going to be even better.

  1. You did a great job sewing!! And you should be proud of yourself! I am sure we could all use to eliminate some of the unnecessary things in our life! :)
